Poynter Online has published a couple of article about former Chicago television reporter Amy Jacobson. The first is here, the second is here.
Although the situation is a bit confusing, if you take the time to read the articles and some of the supporting material, you can see that her situation has arisen because of rigidity in the MSM and the absence of the insistence in transparency that I believe is so common in the blogs (often, it separates the best from the rest).
